Nutrient Density | Ketogenic Super Green Collagen Smoothie

Green Vanilla Berry Collagen Smoothie

Is your Keto Diet Nutrient Dense?

I would say the playing field is split in half right now. Half of people doing ketogenic diets are focused on health, mental performance, longevity, anti-inflammatory, fat burning, and overall Fitness. And the other half of people are focused on fat burning while eating a ton of bacon, pork rinds, butter on everything, conventional Dairy, and conventionally raised processed Meats. So a message that I really want to get out to folks is one of nutrient density.

Nutrient Dense Perfect Keto Smoothie

Implementing a Ketogenic Diet how can we efficiently feed our bodies with as many nutrients as possible? One of the ways I have found works great with the keto diet is a nutrient packed green smoothie. Not only does it give me the taste and feel of a delightful milkshake from my past. But also gives me the good energy and feeling of a super nutrient-packed conglomeration of really really healthy foods.

When most people think of a healthy smoothie they immediately think of juicing bananas, apples, grapes, and other fruits. And as I will not demonize those things, and their nutrient value, I will say that it is high time we start eating fruits that are in season to us locally(and not every single one them just because we have easy access in the produce section of every grocery store). It’s those leafy greens and colorful vegetables that pack such a nutricious punch.
Also, the Smoothie allows me to get in healthy sources of collagen like “Perfect Keto” vanilla collagen powder, and their Keto Micros (Greens) powder as well. So right away I’m starting my day off with healthy sources of grass-fed collagen, and also a wide range of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and super nutrients from the Keto Micro greens. Combine with the magnesium and potassium from avocado and leafy greens like kale or spinach, and what a Nutrient packed way to start your day. When I’m not using the Perfect Keto Collagen Chocolate Powder, I use the vanilla, and add blueberries and raspberries for a vanilla berry smoothie. This also goes great with Spirulina an excellent source of Omega-3 and DHA fat. Maca root powder is a great anti-inflammatory, with good taste that goes along with the vanilla nicely. I add in 5 grams of creatine not because I Want to Get Buff, but because I want to recover well from my training, along with Mental benefits shown from Creatine. As for the base, I use a little coconut milk and coconut cream mixture along with five to seven ice cubes. Sometimes I will throw in coconut flakes or coconut butter as well. One new thing I have been trying is mixing in the Perfect Keto Nut Butter, and absolutely love it. One of my colleagues said it perfectly that “this stuff is like cookie dough in a jar, only It’s nut Butter”.
