Client Experience on Reversing Type 2 Diabetes- Lowering High Cholesterol and Triglycerides

The above vlog is on my Client Gina Lee. She has agreed to let me share her story with the public. Just last year, her Diabetes, High Cholesterol, High Triglycerides, and Thyroid Problems brought her to see Muscles and Veggies Fitness at a seminar that we did in Fayetteville Arkansas.

She had already wasted hundreds of dollars on Diabetic education from Washington Regional Medical Center, and had seen no real results. I started teaching her the Ketogenic Diet, Stress relief, Weight Training, Sleeping optimization, and how to get the proper tests done medically to find out where problem areas were. We started monitering her blood glucose everyday, ecspecially upon awakening and after meals. Over the first 3 weeks, we saw her blood glucose basically cut itself in half from following a low carb diet. She was also steadily dropping weight along the way. I soon after got her to start intermittent Fasting for sometimes up to 24 hours. This further cut down her glucose numbers to the point that she no longer felt that she needed her diabetic medications any longer.

She quickly adapted to the keto lifestyle only eating 2 meals a day and almost never snacking. Her Keto coffee recipe in the morning kept her energetic and Satiated despite her doubts at first. As we kept going over health symptoms we came to the realization that although her doctor had said her thyroid levels were completely fine, he had never fully tested a full thyroid lab panel (T3, T4, Rt3, TSH, & thyroid antibodies). She demanded the proper test be ran, and after some reluctance the Doctor agreed. Low and Behold, she had high Reverse T3, likely do to a lot of stress and inflammation from her current health problems. She was immediately started on Cytomel T3, and she quickly felt more energy, lost more weight, and stopped losing hair.

She continues on the low carb diet, and I have her current focus not so much on Keto, but on low carb nutrient density. These current findings in her lab work truly show the power of real whole foods, (Lower in carbohydrates) and how optimizing your stress, sleep, and Hormonal health can truly play a role in reversing Metabolic diseases that are so prevalent in today’s modern world.
